It's not advised to try this but the point is that if you have acid re-flux, an ulcer or want to improve your over all health, try eating alkaline foods such as Spinach, Wheat grass, Broccoli etc. Get a reoccurring theme here, eat your GREENS!!! 2) Approximately 20% of your nutritional intake goes to the brain and it's functions. That is why good sources of Omega 3, such as Salmon, Avocado or Flaxseed. 3) Babies are born with about 90 more bones in their bodies then they will have when they become adults. They fuse together in something called ossification. It occurs when capillaries bring blood to bone-forming cells called osteoblasts, which then begin producing compact bone, covering the cartilage and replacing it. This process does not full complete to somewhere in your 20's. It is truly scary because it can cause irreversible, especially when done consistently. This Is why you should not be lifting heavy at a young age and especially with the go it alone attitude. If you think number 3 was a random rant, it was not. There are many coaches, trainers and parents who think its a great idea to power-lift with careless form at a very young age. It would be better to do nothing than to lift in a style that is not conducive to normal adolescent growth. So, if you know of a coach, parent or trainer who thinks it's a good idea to have hard core training sessions with a 9 year old, please forward them this information for their review.
