TRAINER JOES BLOG![]() I have been making this dish since I was 17, and it has most likely been on every meal plan I have ever written. I call it culinary excellence, others call it getting your macros in. Whatever you call it, it's an easy and balanced bulk meal prep option. I set this recipe for one pound of ground meat but feel free to double or triple the ingredients (if you have a large enough pot) Ingredients: 1/8 Cup EVOO or Avocado Oil 3 Cloves of Garlic Pink Himalayan Salt 1lb Ground Turkey or Meat of choice 2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder Black Pepper and Red Pepper Flakes Optional 16 oz of Purred Tomato, mild or hot salsa (your choice) Directions Step 1) Sauté one very large finely chopped onion in avocado oil or EVOO Step 2) Add 3 cloves of crushed and rough chopped garlic (not too small) Step 3) Add a teaspoon of pink salt and allow the onion to cook until translucent Step 4) Add 1 lb of ground meat, adding 2 teaspoons of garlic powder directly to the meat (No salt added) ( ground black pepper and red pepper flakes if you like some spice) allow meat to cook thoroughly Step 5) Add 2 full cups of fresh veggies of choice and an Organic can of black beans and sauté for 6 minutes Step 6) Add 16 oz of Pureed Tomato for Mild or 16 oz of Mild Salsa For Medium Spice or 16 oz of Level Danger Zone Salsa if you are like me :) and sauté for 5 additional minutes Step 7) Serve with brown rice or in lettuce wraps, and with hot sauce or not. Either way this is a perfectly balanced comfort food meal prep option. This Post is Sponsored By:
